It is with deep sorrow and great regret that The East Meadow Soccer Club Board of Directors announces the passing of Mr. Stan Ruppenthal.  Stan served as President of the East Meadow Soccer Club for 10 years, and his list of achievements is far too long for this notice.  It was his dedication and endless hours of volunteer work that helped build our club and its tournaments and programs to where they are today.  Perhaps his proudest accomplishment was the building of the East Meadow Soccer Club's Field of Dreams.  Stan's vision and determination helped initiate the project and he was relentless in his quest to get our Field of Dreams completed.   He has continued to help tremendously with our tournaments and programs in the years since he stepped down as president, and has been a constant source of advice and support for all of us.   He will be deeply missed. Stan leaves behind his loving wife Patty, his son Chris and his daughter Tracey along with her husband and beautiful grandchild they brought into Stan's life.  Stan's love for the East Meadow Soccer Club will live on and on as the children play on the fields he helped build for years and decades to come.  Thanks Stan for being a part of us for all these years!!   We miss you buddy!!

One of the many things Stan did for the club was to manage our website for the past 15 years. With a heavy heart we are now migrating our website to a new home.
