EMSC U14 Boys Players chosen for ODP
Regional and National Camps
Three EMSC Arsenal players, U14 Boys, have made the Region 1 Regional Team
Camp later this summer. One of them has been selected as one of 76 players
around the country chosen to attend the US Soccer National U14 Camp in August.
Dillon Cranmer, Ryan Willoughby and Justin Hansen have each been selected to
participate in the Region 1 ODP Camp later this summer. Dillon and Ryan will
attend the Region 1 camp while Justin will attend the US Soccer National Pool
Camp in August.
"Dillon and Ryan have had a great year for their club
team as they are consistent leaders through action, effort and attitude each day
in training and at our matches" says Jeff Gross, EMSC Director of Coaching
and Head Coach of the Arsenal. "I am not surprised by their inclusion as
they have both been outstanding this past year. They improve every day and when
we compete they are always in the thick of us playing well. I am proud
of both of them!"
"Although Justin's inclusion in the National Camp has
been a welcome surprise, his quality is unquestionable. He has a fantastic knack
and ability to take players on 1v1 and create for himself and his teammates!
He is a joy to watch as his array of tricks to beat players seems endless at
times. We are very proud of all the boys on the Arsenal, several of which chose
not to tryout for ODP and would compete at a similar level as these three if
they did tryout." continues Gross. "Justin has a great work ethic in training
and always likes to challenges his teammates to play better in training
every day. So, you can see how attitude and effort can pay off for any
player. Justin, Dillon and Ryan have been a great examples of this and I am
proud of them!"
The EMSC would like to wish Dillon, Ryan and Justin the
best in their endeavors this summer and into next year for their club team.
Good luck boys!
This is just one of several stories that have been
surfacing over the years here at EMSC. You have read recently that Sade Ayinde,
former EMSC player and current University of Maryland player, was included in
the U20 Women's National Team camp in preparation for the U20 Women's World Cup
this summer. So not only do EMSC teams seem to do well in competition it has
been producing players at the state, regional and national level for some time.
Please stay tuned to the EMSC web site and the blasts we send with club news
and updates. We want every player in our club to love the game and get
the most of out of what we have to offer! Along with these two stories we will
hear more about EMSC in the coming months as many exciting things are about to
happen for it's players and teams this coming soccer year!
