| Game Time
Before the Game
To keep games on schedule, please ask players to arrive
at least 15 minutes before game time. Make sure that
parents and players are aware of the following safety
rules:
- All players are required to wear shin guards and
soccer cleats.
- Players are not allowed to wear jewelry of any kind.
- If the weather is cold, players are allowed to wear
a long sleeve shirt, sweat shirt or pants under their
uniform. Sweatshirts with hoods or strings should not be
worn.
- Spectators are not allowed to sit or stand behind
the goals.
- Spectators are asked to sit on the spectator side of
the field (opposite side from the players and coaches).
- Spectators are asked to sit at least three feet from
the sideline to give the players enough room to throw in
the ball.
Starting the Game
Kick-off is decided by a coin toss with team captains
at center field. Have your captains ready when the referee
calls. It is the responsibility of the home team to bring
the game ball.
During the Game
Keep coaching to a minimum. Praise and encouragement
are appropriate at all times. Arrange substitutions so
that everyone plays approximately the same amount of time.
After the Game
Both teams will line up for a walk-by hand shake. If
you are playing the last game of the day on your field,
please pick up the flags and put away the goal nets. Don't
forget to check the area around your field for any trash.
