The East Meadow Soccer Tournament was started in 1988 as a small festival for local area teams to prepare for the upcoming Fall soccer season. The tournament has grown in many ways during its' 31 years. This year marks the the 32nd time that the East Meadow Soccer Club has hosted the tournament, sponsored by Covanta Energy. There will be over 415 teams in the tournament this year. In total, 70 divisions of over 415 teams and more then 7500 players will play more then 1100 games at fifteen locations on more then 50 fields, making it the largest soccer tournament in New York State and one of the largest in the northeast region. We are pleased to once again have teams from several states and as far away as Canada joining us! The level of competition at the East Meadow tournament varies from bracket to bracket. Our Registrars & their staff take great pains to make certain each bracket is evenly matched. Premier teams will find matchups of equal caliber as will the less competitive team. The High School Divisions play their games in the late afternoons/evenings and nights under the lights and the Covanta Division bracket winners will play for the "Covanta Cup" This tournament, while extremely large still has not lost its' small tournament feel.
